Dr. Noor Awad
I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the machine learning group, university of Freiburg, Germany working with Prof. Frank Hutter. Before that, I completed my PhD degree in computer engineering from Nanyang Technological University (in March 2019) with Prof. Ponnuthurai Suganthan.

Research Interests
I am interested in all facets of evolutionary computation. My research focuses on how to use evolutionary algorithms to solve optimization problems and many real-world applications. More precisely my research areas include:
-
Hyperparameter Optimization
-
Automated Machine Learning
-
Reinforcement Learning
-
Fairness in ML
